Modern Slavery Act Transparency Statement
1. Introduction and Policy Statement
This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps that LumenForge has taken and is continuing to take to ensure that modern slavery or human trafficking is not taking place within our business or supply chain.
LumenForge has a zero-tolerance approach to any form of modern slavery. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity and transparency in all business dealings and to putting effective systems and controls in place to safeguard against any form of modern slavery taking place within the business or our supply chain.
2. Our Business and Supply Chains
Business Operations:LumenForge provides AI-powered Socratic tutoring software designed for UK GCSE students, compliant with DfE 2026 standards. Our direct operations primarily involve software development, educational research, and platform administration, mostly conducted by highly skilled professionals within the UK.
Supply Chain Risk Assessment:Given the nature of our business as a digital SaaS provider, we consider our inherent risk of modern slavery to be low. However, our supply chain includes cloud hosting providers (e.g., AWS, Vercel), third-party API providers (e.g., LLM inference engines), and professional services.
3. Due Diligence and Supplier Adherence
Vendor Procurement:We expect our suppliers and contractors to demonstrate a zero-tolerance approach to exploitation. When onboarding new vendors, particularly enterprise infrastructure providers, we prioritize those with established, transparent Modern Slavery and Human Rights policies.
Continuous Monitoring:As part of our ongoing DfE compliance and 'Audit-as-a-Service' framework, we regularly review our major software and hardware providers to ensure their labor practices align with UK and international human rights standards.
4. Training and Awareness
Internal Policies:All employees at LumenForge are familiarized with our core compliance requirements. We foster an environment where staff are encouraged to raise concerns about any issue or suspicion of modern slavery in any parts of our business or supply chains.
